Who is PACE created for?

PACE is an online program designed for busy adults. It enables students to complete an associate degree in about 2 years.

The students who will benefit from PACE:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Are adult students who have not previously completed college courses (or who have not completed more than 12 units towards the PACE program schedule or equivalent GE requirements).
  • Want to complete a program that is already sketched out for them, including required courses for the major, elective courses, courses meeting general education requirements, and a degree that can be used for transfer to a four-year university, if desired.
  • Prefer to complete all their coursework in an online format.
  • Are interested in completing their associate degree in an accelerated, compressed format (courses being only 8 weeks in length, completing two courses simultaneously).
  • Can dedicate two-three hours a day on coursework, reading, completing assignments, and preparing for exams, projects, and papers.
  • Are motivated learners who want to manage their personal time in the pursuit of education.
