Special Needs Credential
Teaching special education, you must hold the Education Specialist Instruction Credential. With this credential, it will allow you to teach in the area of your specialization and in a variety of settings outlined on the credential. Individual school districts may look for other experience and education qualifications to hire. Although you don’t necessarily need an education degree, you do need a bachelor’s degree before you can get your special education credentials.
