Family: Oldest of 4 Siblings ( 3 Brothers and 1 Sister )
Hobbies: Traveling, Film Photography, Playing Video Games, Playing Soccer

Something unique or interesting about you: I built two of my own custom computers. This past summer I was also a UCSB PIPELINES Intern interning at the naval base at Point Mugu.
Name: Maureen Sheldon
Primary Role: Office Assistant for Veterans Resource Center
Years of Service: starting 12th week at VRC
Family: Married, 2 children, and a dog (Parker) and cat (Oliver)! Lived in Ventura the past 15 years.
Hobbies: the beach, hiking, gardening, enjoy all sports, especially volleyball.
Favorite Food: pasta
Favorite Movie: Remember the Titans, Hidden Figures, When Harry Met Sally
Mountaineering: The Alpinist, Torn, 14 Peaks.
Favorite Song/Artist: Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Artists: Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, classic rock, and country.
Something Fun/unique: I have always loved fighter jets. If I had a ‘do over’ that is something I would have pursued! Curious to seek out new experiences. If it’s off the beaten path and everyone’s been there, I’ll take the road less traveled every time. Learning history/enjoy biographies – and anything mountaineering related!

Role: Interim Assistant Dean of Learning, Equity, Achievement, and Persistence
Years at VC: 1 ½ yrs
Family: Number 3 of 6 siblings
Hobbies: Traveling, Outdoors, Volunteer Work, and just hanging out with friends and family!
Favorite food: That is really tough to answer, I guess it depends on the time of year and the mood I'm in. Anything Mexican for sure. Pasta as a comfort food, and Tapas or Sushi when out socially. I didn't answer that question, did I?
Favorite Movie: Another tough question, here are my top three in no particular order; Almost Famous, Pans Labyrinth, and Titanic.
Favorite Song: Yikes, another tough question, I like almost everything out there; Pop, Rock, Spanish, Gospel, Jazz, I even like Country. But if I had to Choose a song it would be Simply The Best by Tina Turner.
Something unique or interesting about you: I have lived in 8 cities in the last 25 years (not including Thousand Oaks, where I grew up); San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Nashville, Philadelphia, New York, and Hong Kong. Don't ask me which is my favorite, they all had a special charm and I got to meet some amazing folks.
