The Schwab Academy of Music returns for its fourth summer season this July at Ventura College. The Academy offers high-level training and performance opportunities to student musicians of all ages.
Students work and perform alongside music director Ashley Walters and Schwab's professional mentors to present orchestra and chamber music concerts. Concert tickets are affordable ($5 to $15) and kids under age 10 are free.
Mark your calendars for the concerts! All performances will be in the Helen Yunker Auditorium located at the Ventura College Performing Arts Center.
July 13: Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony at 4 p.m.
July 12 & 19: Chamber Music Fridays at 5 p.m.
July 20 & 21: The 14th Annual Henry Schwab Violin & Viola Competition at 4 p.m.
