  • Military One Source – Free service by DOD to assist with education, relocation, parenting, and mental health issues.

  • Mission Reconnect – Wellness training for Veterans and their partners. Using mind and body therapies to support physical, mental, and relationship health.

  • Naval Base Ventura County – Call 1-805-982-5037. Offers a wide range of services to include confidential no-cost counseling, support groups, and more.

  • National Veterans Foundation – Serves the crisis management, information, and referral needs of all U.S. Veterans and their families.

  • Lifeline for Vets – Call 1-888-777-4443 to reach another veteran who understands your experience, and who you can trust. Provides counseling, job board, training , and a wide range of other resources.

  • Real Warriors – Promotes building resilience, facilitating recovery, and supporting reintegration of service members, veterans, and their families.

  • The Veteran Mentor Project, Inc. – Enhances military veterans transition from service to civilian life; offers coaching, guidance, and mentorship.

  • Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS)  - Offers community workshops, women’s and men’s individual programs, as well as groups, workshops, seminars, social events, and sports through Team TAPS. Peer Mentors have experienced a military loss and understand your grief journey. Request a Mentor.

  • Ventura County Military Collaborative – Offers a variety of free programs including legal and employment resources.

  • Vet Centers - Call 1-877-927-8387 or find one near you. Discuss how you feel with other Veterans in these community-based counseling centers. 

  • Veterans Wellness Alliance – Connect to Care is for veterans, service members, and their families.  Connect with a licensed professional who can help.

  • Vets 4 Warriors – Call 855-838-8255 -- 24/7 for confidential, stigma free peer support by veterans with shared life experiences. Online chat available.

  • Vets Prevail – By Vets, for Vets. Online anonymous counseling from fellow Vets and interactive training for a wide range of issues.

  • Wounded Warrior Project – Offers interactive programs, mental health workshops, and a broad offering of professional services and long-term rehabilitative care.

REINS of H.O.P.E.

ROH services the military-connected community with free mental health services. Service members are ‘hands-on’, and horses assist people in working through emotional barriers without judgment. Eight week sessions are provided at no cost to military personnel.
