Registration priority is granted to continuing students who are in “good academic standing” (defined for this purpose only as a student who is not on academic or progress probation for two semesters) and have not earned more than 90 units. Continuing students are assigned registration appointments based on the number of completed and in-progress degree-applicable units at VCCCD.
New and returning students must complete the Student Success activities including College Orientation, Placement, and an Initial or Comprehensive Educational Plan with a counselor to be eligible for Priority Registration. Priority Registration is important because it allows students to register early for their desired courses and schedule. To complete the required activities, conduct the following:
- College orientation can be completed on-line
- Placement
- Complete the MAP Workshops Canvas Page to plan for courses as a new student and complete an Initial or Comprehensive Educational Plan
- Start and end dates for classes can be found along with class notes on the online class schedule
We welcome you to Ventura College!
